H2H Challenge: Change

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to my blog! This week's Heart2Heart Challenges theme is "Change".  My project is a single page layout featuring Close To My Heart's Adventure Fundamentals Paper.  The layout was inspired by Jeanette R. Lynton's Half & Half Simple Frames pattern found in her Reflections Scrapbook Program.  The layout I created is the story of my change to a healthy life.  I decided a year ago that I had to change.. I had to lose weight and be healthy not only for me but for my family.  I changed my eating habits, exercised and became more active.  All these changes helped me lose 50 lbs in a year and I feel so much better now that I'm healthy.  I hope that my story will inspire others to make the "Change" they need in their lives.

Here's a list of the tools and products used to create this card:
  • Adventure Fundamentals Paper
  • Teal Shimmer Trim
  • Blessed Beyond Measure SOTM Stamp
  • White Daisy Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Black Ink Pad

Heart2Heart Challenges "Party Animals"

Hi Everyone!

In case you're wondering why I am only using Studio J projects, I am currently working in Hilo Hawaii for the next few weeks and since I don't have access to my traditional scrapbooking and card making goodies I've decided to create my projects using Studio J.  As soon as I get back to the mainland (aka home...) I will go back to my traditional projects. In the meantime, I hope you like my Studio J projects as much as I enjoyed creating them.

This week's Heart2Heart challenge is "Party Animals".  I created this fun two-page layout to share some more of my daughter Kiara's Sweet 16 party.  I thought it would be fun to share the "Party Animals" from her party.

For this layout I picked the "Kaleidoscope" kit and the "Photo Moment" pattern.  I customized both the kit and pattern for my layout.

Heart2Heart Challenges "Favorite Paper Pack"

Hi Everyone!

This week's Heart2Heart challenge features "Favorite Paper Packs".  My favorite paper pack is "Nevermore" from the Holiday Expressions catalog.  If you like this paper pack as much as I do, it's still available while supplies last through Close To My Heart.

I created this fun two-page Halloween layout using Studio J.  I create yearbooks every year to showcase highlights of events that our family shared.  I admit, I am a little behind in my yearbooks but since I am working out of town for a few weeks and since Studio J will soon be discontinued, I've decided to create one of my yearbooks using Studio J.  I hope you like my layout and give Studio J a try while its still available.

For this layout I picked the "Nevermore" kit and the "Backstage" pattern.  I customized both the kit and pattern for my layout.

If you would like to try Studio J, please visit my online store at www.luvz2scrapbook.ctmh.com.  Unfortunately, Studio J is only going to be available until April 30th and I will definitely miss it.

Hugs and Kisses Card: Jan 2016 Luvz2stamp Club Kit

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the January 2016 Luvz2stamp Club Project. This month's card kit project features Close To My Hearts XOXO Occasions stamp and the La Vie En Rose Paper Packet.  The video I created is a little different from my usual videos, I was trying to find a faster way of producing the videos so I decided not to do any voice overs rather show the actual audio along with the real time frame of the video.  Let me know how you like this format, I'd love to produce more video tutorials that are not so time consuming.

Remember, all club members participating in the month of January will be receiving a set of pre-cut and pre-scored project kit along with the stamp set and embellishments needed to complete the project.

Heart2Heart Challenges "ABCs"

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to this week's  Heart2Heart challenge "ABC's". For this week's challenge I created this two-page layout using Close To My Heart's Studio J to share our fun time with the "ABC's of dress shopping".  My daughter Kiara just celebrated her sweet 16 and we had so much fun planning an awesome party to celebrate this milestone.

For this layout I picked the "La Belle Vie" kit (it was the perfect kit since the theme of her party was "Paris") and the "In Focus" pattern.  I customized both the kit and pattern for my layout.

If you would like to try Studio J, please visit my online store at www.luvz2scrapbook.ctmh.com.  Unfortunately, Studio J is only going to be available until April 30th and I will definitely miss it.

Heart2Heart Challenges "Frozen"

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for visiting my blog!  This weeks' Heart2Heart Challenges theme is "Frozen". My family went on a camping trip during the winter back in 2009 and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to scrap our "Frozen" family adventure.

I created this two-page layout using Close To My Heart's Studio J, if you have not tried it, I highly recommend you do.  As I've previously shared, I am at heart a traditional scrapper because I love to feel the texture of the paper and embellishments but using Studio J was such a great experience that I decided to create this layout with Studio J. There are so many paper packs available on Studio J, past and present and I just love being able to use them.

For this layout I picked the "Aspen" kit and the "Creative Rhythm" pattern.  I customized both the kit and pattern for my layout.

If you would like to try Studio J, please visit my online store at www.luvz2scrapbook.ctmh.com.
