This month we have 68 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

"Our Family"

This two page scrapbook layout features techniques such as the mini shaker window embellishment, waterfall feature and many more. There are lots of things happening on this layout and I just got a little carried away, I hope you like this month's stamp set as much as I enjoyed creating the layout.

Inspired by the 3a Side Bar Quartet and Side Bar Journaling layouts  (pages 44 & 45) from Jeannette Lynton's Reflections Scrapbook Program

Instructions:
  1. The base layer for this two-page layout are 12" X 12" White Daisy Card Stock.
  2. Adhere layer A to the base layer of page one.
  3. Adhere layer B to the right of layer A.  Add layer C on top of layer B.
  4. Adhere layer D below layer B.  I used a sewing machine and white thread to add the thin border around layer D.
  5. Adhere layer E on top of layer D (repeat 4 times).
  6. Adhere layer G on top of layer F, on a White Daisy card stock, stamp with lagoon ink pad using the second generation stamping technique the back side of the stamp image.  Flip the stamp on the right side up and stamp actual image.  Repeat process 3 times and adhere on top of layer F using 3-D tape.  Add all 3 on top of layer A.
  7. Add Teal Shimmer trim to the bottom of layer C.  The small circle embellishment was cut using a 1" circle punch.  The lagoon background was from the same second generation stamping technique.  The Smoothie flower image was stamped using the CTMH pigment ink, clear embossing powder and heat embossed.  Add an itty bitty gem to the center of the flower and adhere using 3-D foam tape.
  8. Using a 1-1/4" circle punch stamp another flower image from the stamp set using the smoothie ink pad (again using the second generation stamping technique to create the shadow before stamping the actual image).  Punch 2 holes in center and add twine.
  9. Add "Our Family" Title to page one.
  10. Add layer L to the right side of page two.  Adhere layer M on top of layer L.
  11. Add layer K to the left side of layer L.
  12. Add layers H, I and J on top of layer K.
  13. Add a Teal Shimmer Trim on top of layer L 3/4" from the bottom.  Add the same smoothie flower embellishment created for page one.
  14. Stamp "A Happy Hello" using Lagoon ink pad on a White Daisy card stock and layer on top of a black card stock.  Add on top of layer L.
  15. Stamp three types of flowers from the stamp set in different colors, fuzzy cut and adhere each layer using the 3-D foam tape.  Create the banner by stamping the flower image using lagoon ink and add Teal Shimmer Trim.  Add the itty bitty sparkle on the center of the flower.  Adhere embellishment on the left side of layer H.
Shaker Window Embellishment

Shaker Window Embellishment
  1. Stamp the image on the center of the 2.5" X 2.5" White Daisy Card Stock.  Use a 1-1/4" Circle to punch the center of the flower image.  Turn the White Daisy card stock over and adhere a 2" X 2" clear acetate sheet over the circle window.
  2. Use the 3-D foam tape to form a barrier around the edges of the back of the White Daisy card stock.  Add assorted sequince and adhere to 2.75" X 2.75" black card stock.
  3. Adhere the shaker window on top of the 3" X 3" Chalk It Up paper.
  4. Add on top of layer J

Waterfall Photo Embellishment

Waterfall Photo Embellishment
  1. Cross Structure - Smoothie card stock cut at 1" X 3.75 (Add tape adhesive only on right and left ends and add White Brads.
  2. Waterfall Pull - Smoothie card stock cut at 2" X 9", score at 4.5", 5.5", 6.25" and 7"
  3. Image Frame - Cut (4) 2" X 2" Black card stock (trim your photo to 1.75" X 1.75".  Adhere each image frame to the top of each scored line (do not use too much adhesive, add adhesive only to the top part of the image frame.
  4. Fold the Waterfall Pull on the 4.5" score line and insert in the center of the Cross Structure, adhere the bottom of the top pull only.  Add a Pixie twine to the back of the waterfall pull to help pull this feature.

If you have a Cricut Explore, the waterfall photo embellishment is available on the Cricut Design Space Project link provided on this blog.

I recommend using CTMH Liquid Glass or Bonding Memories glue pen to adhere the layers and 3-D Foam tape to give the accent dimensions. Feel free to add your own touch to this fun and interactive scrapbook layout.

"Year Noted"

I created this Kraft Mini Book to celebrate National Papercrafting Month with Close To My Heart.  We have all been invited to create something that can help reflect on our accomplishments and memories of the past year and journal our goals for the new year.  For this project, I will not be sharing  step-by-step directions, however, I will be sharing pages from my mini book that showcase how the products included in the kit can be used to make your "Year Noted" book.

Cover Page
Use the Black StazOn Ink Pad to stamp images on the gold foil sticker
Add layers and use the label strip from the patterned paper
Use Desert Sand Ink Pad and a sponge dauber to add some color to the mini book cover

Use a journaling pen to add borders to your page

Add sentiments and images to bottom of page
Add stickers at the top corners, this leaves plenty of room to add photos, journal or memorabilias

Trim a piece of the Gold Foil sticker sheet and use as a border
Add twine or ribbon to embellish the page

Stamp images on White Daisy Card stock, cut and add to create a 3D embellishment
Use Ink Pads to add color to white twine
Use sponge dauber and ink pad to add color to the edges of the page

Tone on tone stamping
Add gold foil stickers to create dimensions

Use embossing folders and stamps to create a background pattern
Close To My Heart card stocks have a white core, use a sanding block to add texture and showcase the core
Back Cover Page
Use the negative space of the gold foil stickers (use transfer paper to keep shape intact)

Tools:  Trimmer, Scissors, Sponge Daubers, Acrylic Blocks, Craft Heater, Big Shot or Cuttlebug Machine
