Thanks to everyone at the Color Dare Challenge for choosing my card as the Emerald Winner for the Color Dare Challenge #154
Hi Everyone!
Thank you for visiting my blog! Welcome to day 7 of my Birthday Card Series and today's card is my first entry to the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge. The colors for this weeks challenge are Smokey Plum and White Daisy. Smokey Plum is retiring this month so if you haven't ordered yours, do it now and don't miss out!
For this card, I used three of my favorite stamp sets:
- The Best Thing - C1503 (Coordinates with Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge)
- Distressed Backgrounds - D1544 (Retiring 8/31/2015 - Order While Supplies Last)
- You Mean the World to Me - B1467 (Retiring 8/31/2015 - Order While Supplies Last)
The background was stamped using the Smokey Plum Ink on White Daisy Cardstock. I used the houndstooth pattern. Stamp the card base to cover the entire front.
To finish off the card, I punch two holes on the center of the flourish and added some white seam binding ribbon. I attached this layer on the card base using 3D foam tape to give it a little dimension.
Tomorrow is the last project in my Birthday Card series, I hope that these projects have given you some inspiration.

ReplyDeleteGreat job, Angela! I'm so glad you found the Color Dare challenge blog! I love the corner swirls with the delicate bow over the houndstooth background--very nice accents. Thanks for playing along with us--hope you will join us again soon!
