Cricut Sketch Thursday: Merry and Bright Scrapbook Layout

This easy scrapbook layout was designed on the Cricut Design Space using images from Close To My Heart's Artbooking Cartridge.  You can make this scrapbook page in a variety of sizes using plain colored card stock.

Cricut Cartridge: Close To My Heart Artbooking
Materials Used: White Daisy, Cranberry, Pacifica, Topiary and Black  colored card stock, Silver Glitter Paper
Tools: Tape Runner, 3-D Foam Tape, Bonding Memories Glue Pen and Cricut Machine

Assembly Guide:

  1. Base -  Daisy White Card Stock
  2. Layer 1 - Cut 11.75" X 11.75" frame from Artbooking Cartridge in Pacifica Cardstock.
  3. Title -  Cut "Holidays" & "Merry & Bright" in Cranberry Cardstock.  Using the Cricut Design Space I created a black backing by duplicating the image and removing the contours where the holes exist, then I grouped together.
  4. Accent #1 - I cut the ornament background inside the circle frame in Silver Glitter Paper using Artbooking cartridge on Cricut Machine.  Using the Cricut Design Space, I used the slice feature to create a perfect circular shape from the ornament overlay.
  5. Accent #2 - I welded 3 separate ornament borders on the Cricut Design Space before cutting the image on the cricut machine using ailver glitter paper and a White Daisy Cardstock backing.
  6. Accent #3 - Cut the Tree in Topiary Cardstock and Reindeer in Silver Glitter paper.
  7. I recommend using CTMH Liquid Glass or Bonding Memories glue pen to adhere the layers and 3-D Foam tape to give the accent frame dimensions.  Feel free to add your own touch to this quick and easy scrapbook layout.

Stamps: Perfect Fit Halloween (B1413)

CTMH Products Used:
  • Scaredy Cat Paper Packet (X7185B)
  • Scaredy Cat Assortment (Z3011)
  • Colonial White Card Stock (1388)
  • Thistle Diagonal Striped Ribbon (Z1990)
  • 3-D Foam Tape (Z1151)
  •  Black Ink Pad (Z2105)
  • Gypsy Ink Pad (Z2190)
  •  Sunset Ink Pad (Z2191)
Other Products:
  • 1 1/4" Circle Punch
Assembly Guide:

  1. Card Base - Main card base was cut in Scaredy Cat Paper using the Artfully Sent Cartridge. For the card base I used design space to hide the contours of the flower shape in the center of the 3 scallops. Card base measures 4.25" X 5.5" when folded in half.
  2. Layer 1 - Stamp 3 assorted images using the Perfect Fit Thanksgiving Stamp Set.  Mix and match colors as desired.  Punch out circles using 1 1/4" circle punch and use 3D foam tape to adhere to center of scallops.
  3. Layer 2 -  Trim the border from the bottom of printed paper and adhere on the left front side of the flip fold.  I used the black ink pad to sponge the edges of the card.  Create a mini bow from the Thistle Diagonal Striped Ribbon and adhere to the top of the strip.
  4. Accent - Add one of each color of the stars from the Scaredy Cat Assortment.
  5. I used the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker to add some glitz to my card.
